Country music's greatest hits from the seventies are some of the most influential.

Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton is an icon singer with millions of followers around the world. Recently, she released a Christmas album as well as a Netflix film. She shows no signs of slowing. Loretta Stone

Loretta Stone made a career of country music by bringing her own style and voice to the table. Dot Records' 1972 release of her hit song "Happiness", is well-known. It went on to earn several awards, including the Country Music Association's Single of the Year award and Grammy for Best Performance by a Country Female Vocalist. Stone's success quickly increased despite a difficult start. Stone became a regular performer at the Wilburn Brothers show.

Tanya Tucker

When she was a teenager, Tanya Tucker had a voice mature beyond her years and was recording songs meant for a man. The rocky relationship between her husband Glen Campbell didn't help her career, but she came back strong with her country-pop sound. Pete Anderson produced her second album My Turn. This collection included country classics. She continued performing and recording after this, but not for a decade.

Dottie West

Dottie Wild is a country musician whose career spans several decades. In the early 1970s, her hit song "What We Are Doin' in Loving" became a hit. She was a favorite of many in the 1970s, and the song was a duet with Kenny Rogers. Later, West teamed up with Jimmy Dean to release two albums in the 1970s. After leaving Atkins' release of Have you heard...Dottie West? she got back together with Bryan Metcalf.

Gary Stewart

He was first known as a country artist in the 1970s. But he was also influenced by blues music and was more fondly associated with the Allman Brothers Band than bluegrass. He wrote some songs with the Allman Brothers Band and you can hear their influence on many his recordings. Stewart was born in Letcher County in Kentucky. His father worked for many years in the coal mines and sustained an injury during a cave-in. Following his injury, Stewart moved to Florida along with his family. FAQ

Why is it called Hollywood?

D.W. Griffith created the first movie industry in California in 1887. It was named in honor of its Los Angeles location, known at the time as "Hollywood".

Because it was an exciting area to visit, the name stuck. People came from all parts of the country to see what was going on there.

Hollywood is still a part of our culture today. We have movies. There are also music videos. Commercials. All of them are called "Hollywood."

Hollywood became famous because of its fame.

It was easy. It was because they were willing and able to take risks. They had the courage to make films that people would remember for years to come.

And they also had the courage to experiment with new ideas.

How much does Hollywood make per year?

The average movie costs around $100 million to produce. If you produced ten movies per year for a decade you would have enough money to purchase a small country.

You would have your own island, including an airport, a power station, a bank and a post office.

If this doesn't sound fun, you are insane.

Who is Hollywood's most famous actor?

Tom Hanks holds the record as the highest-paid actor ever. He makes a minimum of $25,000,000 per movie. According to Celebrity Net Worth.

Will Smith is second, having earned $65,000,000 over four years for his contribution to Independence Day.

Why aren't more filmmakers using crowdfunding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter?

Crowdfunding platforms are fantastic because they allow you direct contact with potential investors.

Many filmmakers aren't qualified to ask money. They feel they need someone else who can vouch for them.

Because they are still in their infancy, they do not believe that anyone should invest.

Instead, they spend months working hard on their project in the hope that someone will notice.

Then, when they launch the campaign, they realize how poorly prepared they were.

They end up with only a few donations, instead of thousands of dollars.
