The House of Windsor in England is home to a royal family. It was named after both the Duke and the Countess Of Longford. The current Countess Longford, a granddaughter of the Duke is also a member in the Saxon House. Edward VIII was conceived in 1896. He was the son and heir of King George V who became British sovereign in 2010. He was a World War I Staff Officer and later went on several goodwill trips to France, as Prince of Wales. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a collection of 1,400 stars that are embedded in the sidewalk just outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater. It was established in 1960. It honors those who have made significant contributions to television, film, music, theater and sports. Each star comes with a plaque with the person's name and birth year.
There are currently 683 stars located along Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to Vine Street. Around one-third (33%) of the stars were awarded posthumously.
