Queen Anne's Garden House
This Queen Anne's Garden House is ideally located near Windsor Castle and the centre of town. This property, which dates back to 1702 has three double bedrooms. A sympathetic renovation completed the refurbishment. The property successfully blends modern living with period elegance. It also includes a fully-equipped kitchen with towels. The garden is well maintained and includes a willow tree. The property is in Taplow, a wealthy Thameside village. The house is within easy reach of Heathrow Airport and London.
This house is located just half a block from Windsor Castle. It was originally called Frogmore House. Hugh May built it in 1680s from estates acquired by Henry VIII. The name came from the frogs that inhabited the area. Later, the house belonged to the Duke & Duchess Northumberland. Then came a succession other families. In 1792 Queen Charlotte leased it and made it a country retreat for her and her daughters.

George V Memorial Fountain
House Windsor's George V Memorial Fountain is a fine example of this era's finest architecture. This monument was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and unveiled by King George V on 23/04/37. It is surrounded by two fountains with low cenotaphs. Each one is shaped like a head. The fountain was part the Acre Graveyard. It was renovated in 1988 for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
It is Windsor's most well-known statue. The fountain was dedicated King George V (the son of Edward VII, Alexandra of Denmark). The royal house of Gotha and Saxecoburg was renamed to Windsor by the future monarch. George V, a Norfolk resident, died at Sandringham House on the 20th of January 1936. While a tomb was constructed, George V's body was temporarily buried at Sandringham House under the Albert Memorial Chapel.
Duke of Windsor
The duke and the duchess were interred side-by-side at Frogmore, on the grounds of Windsor Castle. While the episode is based on historical events, the show does take some liberties. The duke was actually so sick that he couldn't attend the tea hosted by his wife. But, the duchess managed to attend the proceedings. Even her husband was buried beside her.
Edward VIII was conceived in 1896. He was the son and heir of King George V who became British sovereign in 2010. He was a World War I Staff Officer and later went on several goodwill trips to France, as Prince of Wales. He was involved in programs for the unemployed and gained popularity in the years that followed his father's death. He was also a member until his death in 1936.
