The average movie costs around $100 million to produce. If you produced ten movies per year for a decade you would have enough money to purchase a small country.

Your island would be yours, complete with an airport, power plant, bank, post office, police force, fire department, school system, hospital, sports stadium, theater, and cinema.

If this doesn't sound fun, you are insane.

Why aren't more independent films distributed?

Indie filmmakers often assume that distributors will pick up their films.

Because they love the work, distributors will likely buy their films.

However, this is seldom the case. Independent filmmakers are often used by distributors.

They may delay a film's release until after the awards season is over.

They also delay the release date for a low-budget film until the summer blockbuster movie season has begun.

Distributors may also keep films from the public until people have already spent hundreds of money on tickets, popcorn or candy.

They don’t want to miss out on these profits.

What is the difference among a producer or distributor?

The movie is produced by a producer. The movie is distributed through a distributor. Producors have the option to sell movies directly to distributors or theaters. Distributors buy movies from producers. They then make them available for sale to theaters as well cable channels and streaming services.

Distributors will need to negotiate with theatre owners about the location of their movies. This could mean that certain theaters may charge more for a particular movie than others. Distributors should be able to distribute your movie to as many theaters as possible.

It's made up of 2,711 stars, which are embedded in the sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard. Each star represents an individual who contributed to popular culture, such as television, radio or theater. There are 1,922 individuals currently listed on HWOF.

To become a member of the HWOF, you must submit your name to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which then submits your name to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. After being approved, you will be issued a certificate stating your name, date and place of birth. It also includes information about your occupation, occupation and category. You also receive a bronze plaque with your name engraved on it. This plaque is attached on a concrete base at the star.

If you were nominated by an HWOF member, or if there are significant contributions made to the entertainment, film, radio, theatre, and music industries, you may be eligible for a "star" award. A committee reviews all the nominations before deciding whether or not they are approved. If they decide to approve, they write a letter to the address of the applicant explaining their decision. A second letter confirms acceptance if the nominee accepts the nomination. The Hollywood Chamber of commerce charges $25, and then the money is sent to the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Los Angles.

The department issues the Hollywood Chamber of commerce a check, payable to it. The check is sent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays artists or organizations whose applications were accepted. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then pays half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs receives the remaining half.
